June 5, 2017: Notice of Public Consultation - BC Major Appliance Stewardship Plan Renewal

You are invited to participate in a public consultation session to discuss the renewal of the product stewardship plan for major appliances in BC (2017 to 2021) prepared by the Major Appliance Recycling Roundtable (MARR). MARR is the approved product stewardship agency for end-of-life major household appliances in British Columbia. See the Consultations page for more information.


April 28, 2017: Publication of a Study of Major Appliance Recycling in British Columbia - Consultations have now Closed

Interested stakeholders were invited to review and comment on the study conducted for MARR on the major appliance recovery system in British Columbia. The study assesses the economic viability of the market driven system and analyses the challenges and barriers with respect to transportation and processing of end-of-life appliances from rural and remote communities. The purpose of the study is to facilitate early views to help inform the development of MARR's program plan in advance of public consultations towards plan renewal.
