The Major Appliance Recycling Roundtable (MARR) stewardship plan for major appliances in BC (2017 to 2021), originally submitted to the Ministry of Environment on 29th June 2017, was re-submitted to the Ministry of the Environment on the 12th January 2018. A copy of the revised stewardship plan is available for view here with the changes from the original submission highlighted in yellow.
MARR is the approved product stewardship agency for end-of-life major household appliances in British Columbia.

August 1, 2017: BC Major Appliance Stewardship Plan Consultation Period Closed
Interested stakeholders were invited to review and comment on the Major Appliance Stewardship Plan Renewal for major appliances in BC (2017 to 2021), as prepared by the Major Appliance Recycling Roundtable (MARR).
The consultation period for the plan has now closed. A copy of the final stewardship plan submitted to the Ministry can be viewed here.
June 30, 2017: Major Appliance Recycling Roundtable (MARR) appoints new Executive Director.
MARR is very pleased today to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Zarbl as MARR’s new Executive Director effective July 10, 2017. Michael’s expertise in operations and managing supply chains of complex stewardship programs will help MARR achieve its revised program plan commitments to enhance the performance of the current system.
Michael joins us from Recycle BC where he recently served as Director, Operation Controls. Michael brings a wealth of operational and supply chain expertise to MARR. Michael has held many positions of increasing experience and complexity in the waste, logistics and stewardship agency sectors. His previous roles include Senior District Manager - Waste Management of Canada, Director of Operations – Ryder Container Terminals and Distribution Centre Manager - Martin Brower of Canada Company.

MARR is inviting consultation and feedback on the final product stewardship plan submitted to the Ministry of Environment June 29, 2017 for major appliances in BC (2017 to 2021) prepared by the Major Appliance Recycling Roundtable (MARR). MARR is the approved product stewardship agency for end-of-life major household appliances in British Columbia.
